BRORA GOLF COURSE |
Redesigned in 1923 by James Braid -- 5 time Open champion, Peter Thomson, President, The James Braid Golfing Society, said that Brora Golf Course, "is the most natural links anywhere in the world." And you can see that the sheep think so too. www.broragolf.co.uk

THE ROYAL MARINE HOTEL |
Here is a photo of Robert Powell, the Proprietor of The Royal Marine Hotel, which is the home of the James Braid Golfing Society. There is so much to see in Brora and nearby -- the Dunrobin Castle, other James Braid golf courses; you will be very welcome at the Royal Marine Hotel and enjoy some of the local scotch while you relax by a warming fireplace before dinner in the evening, and oh, yes, that's after a game of golf on the Brora Golf Course. www.highlandescape.com

GOLSPIE GOLF COURSE |
A mix of heathland, links, and parkland will test your golfing skills. Your view of the Dornoch Firth will be worth the visit. The wind will play a factor in your score here, and it is only a few miles away from both the Royal Marine Hotel, where you will stay, and the Brora Golf Course. This is also a James Braid course. www.golspie-golf-club.co.uk

FORTROSE & ROSEMARKIE GOLF COURSE |
Designed by James Braid, this course goes back to l888. The front nine holes run along the shore, where you will certainly be distracted with a glimpse of a dolphin colony. Many say this is their favorite course in Scotland. You won't want to miss it on the Highland Trail. www.fortrosegolfclub.co.uk

BOAT OF GARTEN GOLF COURSE |
What impressed me the most about this James Braid masterpiece, was the views. The course has a park bench waiting for you to linger while you look over the River Spey, and the most majestic Highland countryside that you will see anywhere. The Boat of Garten is located in Inverness-shire and is on the James Braid Highland Trail. www.boatgolf.com

NAIRN CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF COURSE |
Established in l887, Nairn has hosted high profile events, including the Walker Cup in 1999 and the Scottish Amateur Championships. Old Tom Morris had a hand in modifying the course along with Archie Simpson. If you can work your way around its tough and hard to read greens, deal with the wind, and gorse, you should do well. www.nairngolfclub.co.uk

GOLF VIEW HOTEL and LEISURE CLUB |
Steps away from the championship Nairn Golf Course is the Golf View Hotel; this is the hotel that the golfers select when they are playing the Nairn, and you will thoroughly enjoy the town of Nairn. Be sure to stay at the Golf View Hotel and Leisure Club. www.morton-hotels.com

DUNROBIN CASTLE |
You will want to book a private dinner for your group at the Dunrobin Castle; it is richly furnished and a treasure to visit. The gardens are beautiful; you will be amazed that it is just outside Golspie. Queen Victoria spent a night here, and you will see the bed she slept in. Check with Robert Powell at www.highlandescape.com for information and reservations for dinner.
