RITZ-CARLTON HOTEL
The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan Hotel, Spa & Casino , is elegant, cosmopolitan with a splash of tropical charm. The Ritz-Carlton offers entertainment, stimulating recreation and Puerto Rico's most vibrant casino. We made it our home base while we stayed in Puerto Rico...and you haven't seen Puerto Rico if you haven't traveled outside San Juan ...Join us now for golfing....in Puerto Rico...First up, the Northern town of Dorado, with the legendary courses below:

HYATT DORADO
BEACH RESORT
The Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort was designed by Robert Trent Jones and is a masterpiece of natural forest and ocean views. We spent time with "Junior" Colon, the Golf Director who has hosted all the well-known personalities who have visited this course.

HYATT REGENCY
CERROMAR GOLF
The Hyatt Regency Cerromar is right next door to the Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort and has its own North and South Courses with the 7th hole facing a breathtaking ocean vista. Again Robert Trent Jones designed these courses. There is bus running between these two courses, and you have to plan to play all 72 holes at the two Hyatts, or you haven't been golfing in Puerto Rico!

DORADO DEL MAR
GOLF COURSE
This challenging 18-hole championship course was designed under the guidance and expertise of world renowned golfer, Chi Chi Rodriguez. Once you reach the green located on this highest point of the course, you will experience a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean and the whole complex which is tied in with a brand new Embassy Suites, which we featured on the television show. We also had a long interview with Chi Chi, himself, very entertaining! This course is in the northern part of the island, near to the Hyatt's ...so plan all your golfing in this area at these three courses.

CHI CHI RODRIGUEZ
A great humanitarian, Chi Chi Rodriguez has his own "Kids" Look for www.chichi.org to learn about his school and golf club for abused children, which is located in Clearwater, Florida. Later on this page you will be at the Coamo Springs Golf Course, and that is where we met Jesus Rodriguez, the brother of ChiChi, who is a great , great golfer and instructor.

DON Q CRYSTAL
DonQ premium rum is as much a part of Puerto Rico as the island itself, starting in 1865 with the Serralles family. The locals drink Don Q Cristal because it is smooth and premium rum!

COAMO SPRINGS
GOLF RESORT
Located in the Southern part of the island where there is minimal rain, Coamo Springs Golf Course is new, and as we mentioned Jesus Rodriguez is the Golf Pro, Brother of ChiChi Rodriguez. They are building a new resort hotel and we will keep you posted, but you can buy homes around the golf course now. Not far from Coamo Springs is the newly planned El Legado course being built and owned by ChiChi Rodriguez.

PALMAS DEL MAR
COUNTRY CLUB
What a view , looking right out to the ocean! Puerto Rico has its Flamboyan trees and this is named the Flamboyan Golf Course; you're looKing at the #12 hole. Seth Bull is the Director of Golf...Candelero Resort is right on the golf course; it is a huge property. Beautiful. Again , it is in the Caribbean side and not as much rain.

WYNDHAM EL CONQUISTADOR
RESORT AND
COUNTRY CLUB
The Wyndham El Conquistador reportedly the best, most gorgeous resort in Puerto Rico. You have to go there and judge for yourself personally. It is surrounded by the Las Casitas Village, and has its own island. The Wyndham Hotels and Resorts are really doing a fabulous job in offering the world's best Golf Resorts...800-441-0418 We used Budget Rental and had a great SUV trip throughout the island...be sure to call Budget at the airport when you arrive and Costillo Tours is the #1 touring company taking you wherever you want to go in Puerto Rico...Ask for Joe Costillo; he has a winning personality and personally takes you deep sea fishing, on his catamaran, to the rain forest (the only official rain forest in the United States), and anything else, including seeing the Old San Juan sights.
